Delete your account
In the app, which is the fastest way
- Open The Long Bluff.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete my account at the bottom, then confirm.
It happens immediately. There is no deactivated state to come back from, and no password to remember — so if you still have the app, this is the only route that can prove the account is yours.
If you have already uninstalled the app
Email support@thelongbluff.com from any address, and say which account you mean: your player id if you still have it (Profile → the bottom of the screen), or the name you played under and the name of a table you played at. We reply to confirm, and we delete within 30 days of confirming.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in: the Apple or Google identity linked to your account.
- Your name, and every session on every device.
- Every push notification token, and every notification we had queued for you.
- Everything you typed or reacted with at a table.
- Your invite links, and the record of which links you tapped.
- Your cosmetics, and your chip balance — chips are forfeited, which is the same thing that happens to them any other way, since they can never be cashed out, directly gifted or redeemed for money, goods or prizes.
- Your seat at every table. If a hand is still running you are folded out of it first, so the table is not left waiting on you.
What is kept, and why
We remove your account's sign-in connections and content immediately. The limited records below remain for security, provider cleanup, anti-abuse limits, game history and purchase audits.
| Record | Why it is kept |
|---|---|
| Encrypted Sign in with Apple revocation credentials | We ask Apple to revoke each stored sign-in grant. If Apple is unavailable, we retain the encrypted credentials and a hashed identity solely to retry cleanup, then delete them when Apple confirms. Your local account and sessions are already deleted. Signing in again with Apple may be temporarily unavailable while this cleanup is pending. |
| A short-lived sign-in deletion guard | A hash of the provider identity prevents an already-started sign-in from recreating the account. It expires within ten minutes. |
| Sign-up eligibility record | A one-way hash records that a sign-in identity already received its one welcome grant and the latest bankroll-recovery time, if any. The raw provider identity is deleted, this hash cannot sign in to an account, and the timestamp is used only to preserve the 24-hour recovery cooldown after account recreation. |
| Recent rewarded-ad cap hash | If this device requested a rewarded ad in the active rolling 24-hour window, a separate one-way device hash remains through that cap window and is cleared on a later cap check or deletion pass once the window has ended. It prevents deleting and recreating an account from resetting the two-ad limit; the raw device identifier is not retained and the hash cannot sign in to an account. |
| The chip ledger | Every chip in this game is double-entry and every chip's origin is auditable. The ledger is append-only, and a game that could quietly delete entries could quietly invent chips. |
| Hand histories at tables you played | A hand is stored as the log of what everyone did, and it belongs to everyone who played it. Deleting your actions from it would rewrite other people's games. |
| Reports of abuse made about you, including the message reported | A report is the record of something that happened to someone else, and deleting your account cannot delete their complaint. Kept so a person can act on it, and for repeat behaviour. |
| Purchase records (store transaction ids, no payment details) | Refunds arrive from Apple and Google long after a purchase, and a refund has to find the purchase it reverses. We never see or store a card number: payment is handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. |
Also worth doing
- Deleting your account does not cancel anything at the store, and there is nothing recurring to cancel — everything for sale in this app is a one-off purchase.
- Refunds are Apple's and Google's to give, not ours: use reportaproblem.apple.com or Google Play's order history.
